Check-In. [LFF2010]

Its been a busy old week over here at Hope Lies at 24 Frames Per Second. We’re wholly in the midst of preparation for the London Film Festival, of which our first press screening falls later in the week. I’m not going to say too much about what we’re seeing over the next few weeks just yet, but a screening of Apichatpong Weerasethakul’s Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, aka this years Palme D’or winning film, and interview with the director are already confirmed. Needless to say, and as regular readers might expect, I’m very excited. There are a number of other big things coming up, with more revealed over the next few weeks.

Apologies for the delay in reviews this week. I’ve had a half-completed piece on Francis Ford Coppola’s Tetro sitting on my hard-drive since last weekend, but just haven’t had the time to complete it. I’m hoping to finish it tomorrow. Put briefly I adored the film, much more than the consensus appear to have done.

Chronolynchical is taking a break for a few weeks, and will return to tie in with the upcoming Twin Peaks Festival in London in November. There has been a great response to the series thus far, so I look forward to the next run. We’re running a similar themed project to tie in with October’s biggest release, of which more shall be revealed later this week.

So yes, lots to look forward to over the next few weeks. London is going to be a defining moment for Hope Lies at 24 Frames Per Second, and I hope that you continue your support along the way.

Adam
