In an occurrence of great fortune, the sublime new restoration of The Ring, Alfred Hitchcock’s finest silent work will be screened online and for all to see on Friday July 13th. We covered the film in some depth as a part of #HitchLies24 just a few weeks ago, and look forward to tuning in to this screening too, which is beamed live in through the internet from the world premiere of the restoration at the Hackney Empire. A new score, courtesy of Soweto Kinch is said to be the stuff of greatness.

The screening takes place on TheSpace.org, at 8pm, Friday July 13th. There’s a ton of BFI related material on there at the moment, including Penny Woolcock’s From The Sea To The Land Beyond, which we caught on the opening night of DocFest recently.
