We’re pleased to be able to announce our next Hope Lies at 16 Frames Per Second screening. On September 2nd we will be screening G.W. Pabst’s Pandora’s Box at our usual venue at Derby QUAD. The screening marks the beginning of a Winter revolving around the German cinema for 16 Frames. Not only are we screening Pandora’s Box, but we’ll be running a number of events leading up to a very special screening of F.W. Murnau’s Nosferatu with live accompaniment just after Halloween. And if that wasn’t enough, we’re also going to be hosting a 7-week long celebration of the German Expressionists in the run up to Christmas. Our focus on the German cinema coincides with a number of apt reissues coming from elsewhere, most notable of which is the eagerly awaited and newly restored Die Nibelungen in October.
More on each of these exciting events will be revealed in due time, but for now tickets for Pandora’s Box can be found here.
